when you have a combo setup like this it's best to put it up high for the best reception not down low. just set it up and forget about it.

It is megabits per second—not megabytes. All the lights except the power light can be turned off in the menu. Nice review!

I bought this to use with xfinity for wifi only. I connected the cable to the modem. Called xfinity, gave them all the info off of the bottom of the modem. All the lights lit up except the one that says gateway and xfinity said they were not receiving a signal. I tried all the cables provided in my apartment but they could not receive a signal. I was told a service worker would have to come out and find the problem for $60. That's more than my monthly bill will be. Anything I can or should do to get this set up myself? I no longer have a computer, just my phone, wii, and a couple Kindle fires. I want to be able to watch Netflix, prime, and surf the web a bit. I changed my phone provider to a much cheaper service but have to limit my use without wifi in my home. Xfinity said the last time service was in my apartment was before I moved in. Any suggestions to avoid a service fee? Thanks

the power light stays lit green and the only other light on is the internet symbol and it flashes. won't output a signal and I can't reset it. I've tried everything. anyone know what might be the problem?

I have owned mine for a year now and I am very pleased!!! As far as it getting HOT I just put a box fan on Mid to high about 2-3 feet away from my server while having up to 7 devices paired with it. The distance on it is amazing!

so this the router i have but i have alot of issues mainly on wirless devices that i just cant get things loading, even on my ps4 or xbox, i was thinking of just getting the sb6190 paired with a netgear ac1750 wirless router. i dont know too much about routers so wondering if anyone can help

I just got one of these modems a couple of weeks ago also. I'm very pleased with it. The modem is faster then the old Arris modem that was provided by the cable company and now I will be saving $15/month for the modem lease and wifi payment. Definitely one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.
