It is nuts and almost suicidal considering the clunker crap boards they're using. One day people will look back at this and think, "How primitive!" I have a 7'2" Geoff McCoy Astron Zot Nugget single fin, with the Gull wing fin, that will catch those waves earlier, and allow me to not only make the drop, but pull up high on the face immediately, cutting through that chop, getting way way more speed, and control, without a great deal of effort. I'm broke and live in Florida. Common big sponsors. Pay for me to go out there on a big clean swell, provide me with a life jacket, accommodations, someone with a ski to help me if I get caught inside, film me and put it out there, and the world will change what they ride, and ride McCoys. The guy was barely able to bottom turn that thing, while using so much toe force, while the hull wanted to slide and go straight to the reef, and all those fins dragging, plus the rocker and bottom contours, the rails and the thin nose and tail foil just dragging, and the wide point forward holding up air from the offshore wind.
