hey man from Poland . i want to try something really small . maybe a one feet tank . i really the sight of the green grass underwater probabaly bec i used to scuba dive . where do i start

The roots are just in the water. When they grow longer they can grow into the substrate, but it's not neccessary. Basically, you can grow Philodendron keeping in a glass jar with water, no substrate needed at all :)

It's not my tank - it was one of the display tanks at the shop "Nature Aquarium Gallery". There were some cardinal tetras, black neon tetras and Badis sp. "Buxar".

Piękny zbiornik, szczególnie odjechany pomysł z Philodendronem... Jaki filter obsługuje akwarium ? I ile litrową macie butlę CO2 jeśli można. Pozdrawiam.

dude are you kidding me? that 40 gal. on your profile looks great, the only difference is the style (besides them having co2 systems, extensive filtering, and fancy soil) lol but really their style is a centralized layout, you have a more "showcase" kinda symmetrical layout, thats all

@emadonnmc Yeah, this tank is great, isn't it? I like it too :) I think it was the best high-tech aquarium in Nature Aquarium Academy, and the Philodendron growing above the water level only added more natural feel to it :)

@0rgazmatron I had Bolbitis once, for a year or so - in a 95 liters tank, with 2x18W fluorescent lamps. So the tank was too small, and the light to weak. However, the plant grew very quickly above the water surface, and almost picked up the glass covering the aquarium. I have never had such success with Bolbitis anymore...

@wieslaw111 Tam było ciemniej niż się wydaje - większą część światła odcinał filodendron i górne liście bolbitisa :) (m.in. dlatego niektóre kadry z całym akwarium wyszły mi lekko przepalone, nie zwróciłem uwagi żeby dać -1 EV...)
