This being typed from a hotel room where I was woken up at 5am by my neighbor next door fun. The guys at ReefaPalooza know how to throw a show. As a perk of being a vendor- Lou and Vic have sandwiches brought in as you can never seem to get good food at a trade show- He had extras and fed all of the competing aquascapers as well. Yesterday more people were around my area at the end than any other booths, many people saying "I can't believe these are freshwater tanks." Yes they are... Lots of people talking about how they want to go BACK to freshwater after seeing them. or setup another tank- and who doesn't need another tank. We had Wu-tang instrumentals playing the whole time as well. Keeping with the NY vibe. This was a real blast for me. I get to walk that nice line of not knowing if I am working or playing....setting up this show on Friday in less than 5 hours in a 20x 20 section WAS WORK, but the work is worth it. Tearing down is yet to come and a flight back to Lexington at 9. Is what it is. "If I could have any job in the world- what would it be?" #8, #2 these two are very hard to decide which. Honestly I come back to it, and #2 looks better a bit so...it's almost even. Very hard between those two.

so...screw it.. #2 (1st),#8 (2nd), #5 (3rd) in the orders Dustin has shown.
Ok now to the #3. I'm like Dustin...I think that is the one I would want to go home with..and actually gave me a great idea for a Fiddler Crab tank. Love that look.
Also..the red rock one. #6 I believe. Love his use of the level of sand/gravel. Very nice for such a small tank.
All in all..I feel for Dustin and those helping judge(if anyone else is). These are some very good tanks. Grats to all involved.

When I talk to folks at the 2 local fish stores in my area it's so nice to be able to face to face be fish nerds.

Love all the tanks they looks amazing all of the guys have done a great job but the one I love the most is the one with the big piece of wood coming out the top.
would love you to come to Melbourne Australia and do a freshfest as we don't have anything like this in Australia.

Great video, I've been watching you, seem like for years. You are the one that got me to put my fish tank back up!! Now I have 9, all with plants and fish. I love this hobby! Thanks for all the videos you've done.
Love the last two tanks, but I must say the dragon rock tank is amazing, hard choice.

I was wondering if you could tell me the type of tank, filter, light etc that was used in the contest. I am looking to buy another small tank and thought that the tanks used look great.

Good showing from 6/8 competitors though. Only two tanks I would want to redo myself if given the opportunity to take them home.
