At first sight the event didn't seem to be large (and it wasn't, indeed), but at the second sight a keen fishkeeper could find many interesting aquariums there, and many rare and interesting tropical aquarium fish. In this first video I show two planted aquariums, arranged at the booth of the company Freshwater Shrimp. Both tanks are in the "nature aquarium" style, with many aquarium plants, but not many fish. The first aquarium is slightly larger, it is planted with Microsorum, Hemianthus callitrichoides, Micranthemum umbrosum, Anubias, Eleocharis, and some other plants. Some of the plants even grow above the surface of the water! The second aquarium is an "iwagumi" layout, with several rocks on the substrate and with dense carpet of Hemianthus, Riccia, and some clumps of Eleocharis here and there. Aquarium is stocked with Amano shrimps and Rasbora maculata fish. Both tanks are illuminated by metal-halide lamps (HQI), and cabinets, fixtures and aquariums themselves are manufactured by Natural Aquario company from Portugal.

Such aquariums are generally called biotope aquariums. Was this tank you think of a very large one, with angelfish and cardinal tetras?

Like I said in the comment for the other video - I don't know much about LEDs, but I'd check Rapid LED website. Maybe you'll be interested in these lamps :)

I know that I commented on your other vid, I just wanted to state that this is the kind of tank/plants that I would like to have and GROW and keep and keep them as beautiful as these. I got the CO2 already for $500 :S, and a Fluval 205/206, now I need the best LED for as I stated tops $270. Do you have an idea which are the top level in that price range?

I saw one of your videos where you pointed out an aquarium in which roots came down from above and the aquarium was supposed to simulate the natural environment of fish in a river bed. What is that type of aquarium called? The video was at an expo of sorts I'm having a hard time finding it

Hehe, I would show them if I had nice aquariums :) I've got about 50 tanks at home, but all of them are breeders, with sand / gravel and some moss :) I also have one "planted tank", but it looks like one big disaster ;) However I'm working on it - my first goal is to get rid of algae and make the plants grow... :)

Yup, this is dwarf baby tears in the first tank. What do you mean if I have dwarf hairgrass? You mean, in my own aquariums at home...?

Of course not. Search for "low tech aquarium" and "Diana Walstad" in Google, you'll see you can have a nice planted tank without all this expensive and power-hungry devices.

it was transported to Aquatics Live like that, they just removed some water, they live in london so was not far at all from Aquatics Live. The tanks, stands and lighting are made by Natural Aquario na-un.com and are totally stunning and its a setup i would live to buy myself

Well, Hemianthus can grow on sand - why not? But I'm not sure if this tank was "pregrown". I can't see any Hemianthus roots in the substrate, so I can't rule out that they aquascaped this aquarium "on site", bringing all elements of the composition separately (I mean, not inside the aquarium).

Hmmm, the dimensions are 60 by 36 by 25 cm, not sure if ADA 60-F is the same... :)

Moim zdaniem to bylo najlepiej przygotowane stoisko na calych targach. Rowniez mieli dwa najpiekniejsze zbiorniki, szacunek dla Eduarda Gercoga za pokaz kunsztu w akwarystyce woslinnej.

Z napisami jest jeszcze gorzej niż z komentarzem. Próbowałem. Synchronizacja tekstu z filmem to masakra. Szybciej już wychodzi gadanie :)

Może zamiast komentarzu mówionego, np. napisy w dwóch językach. O ile dobrze kojarzę można podłączyć dwie wersje napisów do jednego filmiku.

Ha, masz rację, tyle że zrobienie komentarza zajmuje koszmarnie dużo czasu - zwłaszcza że muszę wtedy robić dwie wersje, polską i angielską. To zajmuje razem około tygodnia na jeden filmik, może trochę krócej. Filmów z Londynu będzie z 5, o ile nie więcej. Czyli mamy półtorej miesiąca pracy, w czasie którego nie mogę robić nic innego. A takie imprezy przestają być newsem po max miesiącu. Więc jeśli film jest w miarę "samoobjaśnialny", to robię bez komentarza :) (ale będą i z komentarzem :) )

Lepiej ogląda się filmiki, w których komentujesz każdy zbiornik. Wtedy oprócz podziwiania pięknych widoczków można się czegoś dowiedzieć :)
