Dimensions of aquariums are 100x50x50 cm, there are Eheim external filters and T5 fluorescent lamps used. No LED lighting used, becasue back then this type of aquarium illumination was not so popular as it is today. Neither CO2 supply systems nor aquarium plants fertilizers are used during the exhibition. There are aslo no fish in the aquariums, because they are forbidden by the rules of the contest. First, they could cause additional troubles, second, they would distract the viewers from admiring the aquascapes.
Stop giving me childhood flashbacks ;-;

Of course it is safe. I have several tanks without any filtration at all, just substrate (very fine quartz sand), lots of Java moss, and some aeration to make the water circulate, and it works perfectly.
two goldfish and these beautiful aquariums ....
I like tank no.11
How do I keep red plants red?
our you could even look up just the instrumental

Beginner Planted Aquarium
and find where?
The plants all live?
Air bubbles are NOT good for your C.O.2!
They take your c.o.2 out of the tank and makes your water hard. so plants won't grow well. Don't use it.(so my english is not very good)
game on game cube..?
->i cant click reply, having trouble with the netI bought an amazon sword (although it's not the most common kind, it's still really nice looking), a java fern, christmas moss, anubias nana barteri, crypto(something) wendtii and a red tiger lotus. I think most of the plants come as bulbs or the leaves are removed so they stay healthy when you put them in the tank, so you have to do some green thumbing :P but I did get all the stuff I listed for $30 and there's a free shipping promotion going on this month and considering these plants are getting sent from CHINA, I was pretty surprised that they would ever offer free shipping. I also ordered water roses on amazon. they ship in sets of 3, so for three of them I think it was $5ish but there's also $4ish in shipping. Anyway, I'm a student too but I think I got a pretty good deal for starter plants :) This will be my first planted tank and I'm hoping to get the Christmas moss to grow as a carpet plant. I really liked the picture in the video of the tank with that tall grass as a background. That was awesome! I might have to try that! My tank will be low tech though so I won't be using CO2. I think aquascaping really only gets super expensive when you go high tech! Of course all the tanks in the video would be high tech, but I have aquascaping plans that I've been told will work just fine and my tank should look pretty good too even as a low tech tank!
