Mine did this after the guy at PetSmart explicitly said that they could go in the same tank together and they would be fine. I put them in the tank, everything's good so far, I come back in a half hour and to my surprise here's my two Betta fish fighting to the death. After putting them into different containers they both died. Wasted $30 that day in fish and tanks...

This is not a fight to the death. In college the co-eds on my floor used to buy bettas and fight them with each other in a smaller bowl. Seldom would they be critically injured. If they were, we would feed the severely damaged ones to the piranhas that one dorm room had. We called it the Wednesday night fights (we did this for a semester). Thirty years later, I feel a bit guilty about animal cruelty, but they are fish, and humans kill (probably) billions of fish each year. Currently, I am eating baked haddock. So, I am still a cruel inhumane person - fish are yummy!

Not sure why people are up in arms about this video. Shit happens in the wild daily. It's kinda the reason they are called fighting fish. And when you go and you order your salmon at restaurants or buy tuna for the cats at home, you don't complain. If you're gonna talk shit about this, then you should defend it across the board, you can't pick and choose when something is wrong or right. Not like it's horse racing or polo or bull riding where these animals are forced and tortured into that lifestyle. This is NATURAL. And it's pretty interesting for those of us who have never seen it.
