Did the pump get louder over time? Btw if the temp is 70 in the room that water is waaay colder.. You should know they prefer warmer!! 76 at LEAST! Buy a heater

Yes most do, but there are plastic plants that are specially made for betta.

dont plastic plants tear up the bettas fins? i just keep hearing that plastic plants can damage the delicate fins on the fish

Very nice set up! I would get a heater to keep the temp up. 68 is way to cold! His tank should be around the 78 range. Hope it helps! :D

70 is too cold for betta fish it should be between 75 and 82 degrees
