This is super cool! I have three 2.5s and I really want to convert them into planted tanks. Right now, though, I'm moving, so I have to wait to get the plants, driftwood, substrate, ect. But I'm also excited. Are there any easy and hardy plants you'd recommend that would fare well in a low-light tank?

Thank you! Planted tanks are very nice, but I do not know much about plants. the plants in this tank are pretty much dead now:( I know java moss grows like a weed in just about any tank, and hornwort is another good one.

+Hickster58 Yep it was but I had to do something and it worked, but if you hate the little box just get a air stone to put on the end of it, you can get them at Walmart for like a couple of dollar's and you get two in a box. Happy fish keeping

+Hickster58 I understand, I put mine under the gravel the flow was still to fast so I bent the cord and placed a Bobby pin on it, it sounds silly but it worked the Bobby pin pinched it just enough to stop some of the flow. You can't get a air stone to fit on the end they work great, I need one but until I get to the store the pin will do.

Thank you:) I am not the keenest of the filter either, but it's hard to find a filter for a tank this small that doesn't affect the bettas swimming:(

Does that Betta have a heater? Because their water needs to be at least 75-82 Degrees F. :3

I use a digital thermometer to keep track of their temps:) Trust me, they are doing great with the water temps.

Ah, but the thing is that their water can actually still be cold. I'd look into it and check the temperature because even if it goes below 75 for two days or so a Betta could get sick. And your beautiful boy doesn't deserve to get sick!
