This is a Star Wars: The Last Jedi themed 5 gallon betta fish tank. It is inspired by the dark side of the force with the red and black theme and has an element of sci-fi with real moss in a glass jar. I tried to keep Kylo Ren and Darth Vader in mind when setting this up but also wanted to include things that are betta fish friendly such as floating plants and a gentle sponge filter. I went to an early viewing on the 14th and the entire theater was sold out. There were so many people they made us wait outside in the cold for 2 hours x.x It was so worth it though.

Did you add air stone inside the jar? It looks like something bubbly from the jar or i must be seeing things? Nice decor of the Jar that gets Betta’s attention. He/she tried poking putting its nose in it lol.

This looks so COOL!! Do you have any idea what pebbles you used for the bottom? I've been interested in a dark pebble bottom that isn't painted/will chip off bad stuff in the tank!

Phoebe J I think it’s just a black colored gravel, another option is to go with a natural substrate that is not painted such as Seachem flourite dark or black, eco complete, and fluval stratum. This is more expensive but allows you to grow steamed plants which is definitely awesome!.

Love this! I’m not a huge Star Wars fan but this turned out great. I’m planning on upgrading my betta from his current 3.3 gallon tank to a five gallon sometime soon. I’m definitely going to have to steal the moss in the jar idea.

I am really excited about the new Star Wars movie so I tried to set up a dark side themed tank. I only used materials that I had around the house so I could not get too fancy ..but I tried to be creative :)
