How do you temper down your tiger barbs? I have about 13 tiger barbs and red flagtail in a 180 gallon tank i had my flagtail first and about a month later i added the barbs. At first day everything went smooth. But it followed that the barbs started nipping on the flagtail so i have no choice but to move the barbs in another tank. I can't afford to lose my rft as it's a hundred times more expensive than the barbs.

Cory, glad I found your channel. I’m the guy who had the 300 gal bowfront. Who brought you the drilled out rocks for plants. Glad to see you got a new mbu. Rip hank. 800 gallon tank is amazing. I moved to Hawai‘i and now have 5 outdoor ponds. I have a koi pond, a swordtail and platy pond, one pond has albino pacu, 2 gold giant gouramis, arrowana, flagtail, and super red severum, another pond is a cichlid pond, has convicts, oscars, electric blue jack Dempsey, 5th pond is empty....thinking about a mbu. Miss your store, but I found a good supplier on Oahu that ships to me on the big island. Glad to see you are doing well on YouTube

I like them because each type do different things and individual fish have personalities. So a fish tank is kind of like an enclosing puzzle to figure out.

I bought them from a wholesaler and sold em to a customer. The customer grew tired of em and then I got them back. I did see some on an import list about a month ago. You’ll need to have your kids be on the lookout for em.

I won some of that elive flake food in a raffle at a club meeting, got the bloodworm one. The flakes are so thick and big I had to put them in a zip lock bag and crush them up with a rolling pin. Not many of my fish seem to like it either, mainly only my angelfish and electric blue acara

Hey Corey, I have a 75 gallon Tank that I will be getting started after Christmas. My question is, should I make sure to run the nitrogen cycle before moving my fish into it? My local fish store, (not a big box), recommended that I not bother because it isn’t necessary. I watched you NO cycle video a while ago and that doesn’t seem right.

Great looking tank as always Cory. I recently upgraded from a 75 to a 125 and with girlfriend willing I'll be able to go larger in the future! I've been getting her into the hobby over the past couple of years and I've recently convinced her to take the 5 gallon tank which used to hold my cichlid fry into her own personal tank! Keep on keepin on and tell jimmy to go do some work.

I did a black sailfin molly in salt water years ago. He developed a beautiful iridescent blue stripe along the top of his dorsal. One of the coolest fish I've had.

I'm not gonna lie. The new thumbnails are making me not want to click on the videos, because I can't take them as seriously as I did before. I know this is just in my head, but I can't be alone in that thought process.

Jimmy, you shoot and edit very well... but try to hold back a bit on cosmetic changes. I think Cory has a good handle on that already (that is if it was Jimmy's idea to do the thumbnails this way)

I have tried that combo before. The giraffe freaked out the menu at feeding time. It worked ok until the giraffe was like 18 inches

Tank and water is around 6700 lbs. Add rock and substrate....you get the picture. I can't imagine trusting floor joists alone. Good thing this is sitting on a slab.

Tiger barbs are not compatible with very many fish, they are mean. You will have to keep a large school of them, 15 is probably the bare minimum. And they will constantly pick off weaker fish.

deeptendu chandra well I tried keeping neon tetras with tiger barbs once. They are NOT compatible. Tiger barbs cause a lot of stress to the neons. TBs are more aggressive and fast swimmers whereas, NTs are peaceful and slower than TBs.

Haven't kept these fishes myself, but i would definitely not recommend it. Tiger barbs get pretty big.. not sure if your smaller fish will survive.. maybe someone else knows things from experience..

theres pros and cons to each,if your doing basic beginner plants you can use pool filter sand,need to be rinsed but its 10$ for 50lbs of it.If you use that you need to put root tabs into the sand to feed your plants.

I think I'm going to put some coarse sand over another substrate that you recommended. I prefer a brighter colored substrate and I think that's going to be best for the cories.

You can use Seachems fluoride, some ppl complain of oily was and others don't, give it a rinse. Or you can use the eco complete one, however do more research on the one you'd like to use, if you'd like a shrimp route as well the Fluval shrimp and plant substrate is also ..... intermediate, when i sold it to a few people
I also recommended some flourish or excel, depending on the persons needs.

Sand is not good for growing plants, there are many good plant substrates. Eco-complete is a good one and it's cheaper compared to other brands. I've kept julii cories for a short time so I don't know how they'll do in the long run. So in short; sand is good for cories bit not so much plans.

Do any of the tiger barbs pick on the other fish? I’m having a problem with mine picking on my angel fish

River Life I found two barbs that were being very naughty. I put them in a breeder tank. Everyone else is doing swimmingly now. Thanks for everyone’s assistance
