I wish my LFS cared about plants as much as you. They only carry plants in 2-3 tanks while you dedicate a whole section.

Tiger Barbs are overrated while the Black Ruby Barbs (Puntius nigrofasciatus) are underrated

Females have stripes like Tiger Barbs.. Males can go black with some red when going breed more or compete

But most important.. with the right number they dont nip fins (they are quite peaceful).. and this comes from a guy that tested them even with a Betta in their tank

2 years straight of no problems / his fins were always fine (not looked nipped / shredded)

..and I started with just 5 Ruby Barbs.. Lol

Should I also say that from my experience the Black Ruby Barbs are also more resilient and quite good for beginners than Tiger Barbs.. since they can fit better or easier in a community tank.. (they are on my top list)

the donated light (aqueon)went along with the tank that was donated to our classroom not sure if its a good one.cant complain its donated. omg you got African dwarf frogs? clawed or un-clawed? im purchasing some more frogs, some guppies, more mollies for the tank, snails, and loaches. i wont do goldfish heard they are high polluters. doing a roman river theme for my tank. mix between sand and gravel. gravel and riverstones(large) with 2 bridges.i was donated a stone colleseaum and a red coral.will order later plants and such. limited income (teachers pay).

I have just been gifted a 27 litre 30cm cube nano tank and apart from some shrimp and/or a Betta I don’t no what else I could stock and what quantity’s. I have ph 7.5 water and it’s currently heated at 26 centigrade. Thanks

Depends how cold. If the day time highs are in the upper 30s, might be hard for our heat packs to keep up with the temp. But usually it's no problem for us to ship. Plants get cold just can't freeze. We ship with 72 hour heat packs. But you can always wait as well. Do what you feel comfortable with.

I myself don't find discus "hard' I find them to be a lot of work. For some people lots of work is hard. But I also don't consider digging a ditch hard. I consider it to be a lot of work. Being that I know how to dig a ditch and am physically able. But it is a task I wouldn't want to do often. Much like the care for discus.

id say either up the school to 20, or maby put like 3-5 green/blue/yellow male endlers. i have 7 lemon tetra with 12 embers in a 10, and im about to move the lemons because they definately need more room to swim. edit: or just dont add any new fish, 15 does seem like a good number.
