So everyone is made clear. We do not just blindly get pets without consulting whomever is at the pet store first. We followed the instructions we were given by a PROFESSIONAL at the pet store where we purchased them. Do not make snap comments until you know ALL THE FACTS.

Those pet employee are not professionals. Most of them only work there because they like cats and dogs and know NOTHING about fish. They are taught terrible stuff. I know more about betta fish than Petco, Petsmart, and Walmart combined. Here is a care sheet i found.

They are gonna die if you don't add the water conditioner they need those chemicals to survive !!!!!!!
