2.5 gallons is the minimum tank size to keep a betta happy
Pristene water conditions , 76 to 82 degree F temperature and a gentle flowing but effective filter . No tankmates in a tank that size!
But lots of human attention

+Sydney P upgrade to a 5 gallon or larger. No need for actually rinsing out the gravel or sand (you just do weekly water changes of 25%-50% and gravel vacuuming), you can put more decor in, you can keep live plants, you can actually have enough room for a proper filter and heater, and your beta would LOVE IT!

WFT??? The purpose is to "show some cool ideas for people looking to decorate" and "isn't about the size"??? What is wrong with you?? The WHOLE purpose should be about the care of the fish. Its should be ALL about the SIZE, condition and care for the tank that the fish is forced to live its life in. It should not even be a little about the decorations. The fish has to LIVE in the tank. the fish doesn't give a shit about the decorations. In fact some of the decorations just harm fish, tear the fins etc..
It cares about these things..
*being able to breath
*having room to swim (AT LEAST 2.5 gallon, at the very smallest)
*being able to get oxygen
*having places to hide so it feels safe
*having SOFT (silk etc..) plants to rest on when its tired of swimming (Plastic/rough edges can tear their delicate fins)
*not getting over fed or under fed,
*the PH balance and temperature of the tank - things of that nature.
**It doesn't give a crap about all the fake shit you think looks cool.
******** #3 fish tank is nothing other than cruel. Here is this somewhat roomy tank, and then the betas are suspended at the top in TINY boxes that they can barely turn around in. They can barley swim, probably can barley breath. Have no where to hide, nothing to rest on, and even worse, they get to see the rest of the larger tank all around them, that they can never access. It would be like someone shoving a person in a tiny box, punching holes in the top and saying, well hes ok, there's air holes....
And the person posting the video, you are promoting that kind of ignorance. You maybe didn't make the tanks, but its on you for promoting these as "cool ideas", when really, Its cruel to the fish. And to the idiot below who said they should feel lucky because before they were in even worse conditions. You are a fucking moron.

LARGE tanks are not needed, though to be truthful they will prefer the smaller bowl. Bettas are 'swamp' fish in nature. Basically this means they live in sludgy, shallow, warm water with all kinds of high protein foods at their beck and call (bloodworms, mosquito larvae etc). So in a captive environment, they are very happy in a small amount of water, with little oxygen and variable temperatures. Just make sure you offer a good high protein diet! :)

u know in naturw betta home are large and longer which holds hundreds of gallons , betta do love bigger space i keep my betta in five gallon tank.and other betta in 48 gallon community tank and they are happy , active little lads. i wouldnt keep them anything smaller than five gallons. bettas are happier in big tanks, but they may be stressed at first time from moving from small tiny crap to larger space and this could take a week to get use to them

they're natural habitat is shallow but is very wide, so in reality they have a lot of water to swim in. Im sorry but with my betta in a 2.5 gallon tank compared to the betta of this guy I know who kept his in a .5 gallon tank, mine is the obviously happier one. His died within a month and just laid on the bottom, depressed. Even now better need more room because he swims along the perimeter of his tank so much. They can survive in small bowls, but they wont live.

YES betta CAN live with guppies as long as they were tank raised with other fish then they will be fine just make sure u don't have a strong filter or else the betta will get stuck and die

Some plastics are not harmful too fish because they don't put toxins in the water. But I'm not too sure whether that was safe plastic or not, you would have to ask the owner.

It's safe for most betta fish, unless your betta likes to rub up against it then it will damage their fins and they will get all cut up.

they are nice looking but not all of them are good for the bettas.. like the aqua frogs when i was a kid i had a betta in a tank with guppys and two frogs and the frog nipped at all the fishes tails and eat some of them. and having bettas so close and shown together stresses them out. but they are nice looking tho.. i only watched some of it.
