Good project. . I've been keeping bettas and plants for many years. . When bred, they're kept in even smaller jars but larger Tupperware containers hold more plants, more water and you can cut a whole for feeding them.

The Betta are bubble-nest builders, and take breaths at the surface, im sorry its a cute idea but not adequate habitat for bettas. Maybe a couple of little male guppies or endlers or such be better choice.
