caronicole yeah I had got back from vacation and my dad was taking care of them then I realized there was a divider mishap so I started watching them more carefully and it got better. Their fins were shredded from another betta which turned to fin rot, but I was treating it

It's pretty!!! Your bettas are SOOOO CUTE❤️❤️❤️. I feel your bettas will be much happier in there own 10 gallon tanks. That's my suggestion bettas can get stressesed in a 2.5 and 5 gallon.

Im very sorry... but your bettas in such tanks is a dreadful sight...

1. bettas need a 3+ gallon tank
2. It is highly suggested that bettas should not be in a tank with plastic plants, for it tears the bettas' fins
3. Make sure to condition the water
4. Put the filter on its lowest water flow setting
5. Put them in individual tanks
6. Feed them the appropriate amount, time, and diet
7. Check for ich or any other sicknesses
8. Check for any signs of stress
9. Please do your research

Sean Bake she said in a different comment that the male Betta tanks are 3.3 gallons each, which is over the limit. Now the last tank she showed us may be to small, but IDK.

They were, I had a fungus outbreak while on vacation then a divider incident too with my males. It was a mess, but I promise they don't normally look that way

I think it was right around a 2.5 gallon, which isn't the best, but it worked well enough. It was still around $10 though. I think it was meant for reptiles or insects for reptiles

Your turquoise female beta is stressed. I can tell by the two black lines. She most likely stressed from seeing the male beta and being able to breed. I suggest a barrier between them. I hope you take this advice.

If they work well the females can go together but they can be aggressive to but you should see but if they fight deprecate them as fast as you can

you could try pvc foam from home depot. youd have to cut it to your liking, but it works wonders for my 10 gal

I realized that and I had tried it, but the girls I had did not get along at all. I only had one girl that wasn't super rude. I know they can be aggressive, but it was to the point the fins would be gone entirely pretty much it just wouldn't work, but the girls I have rn I keep together

how can the filter circulate if it's just in one side? sorry for the question.. I'm planning to buy a 10 gallon tank and make dividers for my bettas... and I'm not planning to clean it every other day.. I'm just worried that the water will get diry and they will get diseases

+Rhucille Pionan I would put the filter in the middle divider if you do three sections or just near the middle if you do two. The water movement/disruption on the surface keeps the tank clean. With the filter you wouldn't have to clean every day. Don't worry too much. I clean my tanks around once a month

+Rachel and Bettas it rips their find which is what makes it bad. It can also irritate long fins causing them to nip at them, but with the females it's not as big as a problem. Silk and live plants are better, but there are some plastic plants that aren't so bad. As long as they are somewhat soft and no sharp parts it should be alright

Yes I knew that then. I tried doing a sorority, but my girls fought a lot and their fins didn't look good at all. I just didn't feel it was safe at the time with the girls I had then, but I do now

move your heaters away from the filter intake... as it is, your filter is sucking up the heated water.. which is not allowing it to circulate better throughout the tank.. you should put it at the complete opposite side of the tank from your filter

If that's what you've been told.. :) but I find the temp in my tanks are more stable with it further away from the filter :)

+datinyone I've always been told to keep it by the filter because the filter takes in the warm water and just puts it back out into the tank.

Where'd you get your heaters? Because mine only heats the ten gallon to 65 degrees. My Betta lives in the ten gallon alone with just him, two hides and some plants but the water is to cold!

+Wholistic Nagev not all female bettas fight, but some do. Two out of three females I had were agressive, so I thought it was best to keep them separate and I didn't want to get more bettas

+Sofia Riojas i would do a female betta and either tetras or guppies, but it's not always recommended to do so, but you can always give it a try. I would just have a good amount of plants

you can! I put sea shells that I found on the beach in my Betta tank and he's fine. just make sure you rinse them in hot water before you put them in the tank:)

I love the setup! And respect for you, a lot of people think having female bettas require less space since they have smaller fins, but you put them in the bigger tanks! :). I love the tanks, bettas and plants , the overall setup is beautiful! Keep up the rest work!

ANY FISH IN A TANK TOO SMAL WILL FIGHT! I was simply saying they dont fight cause they normally have enugh space. Females RARELY fight given enouh space.

um...females will fight...you can only do 3-7 in a ten gallon, the recommended is 5. You can of course do bigger tanks with more bettas, but you can not put any amount of females in any tank. Even some females in a 20 gellon tank with 7 bettas still fight

male betta fish have to be 1 or 3+ in a larger tank. you can have as many females as you want in a tank. femalss wont fight.
