long finned bettas cannot jump out of the water. they can maybe jump to half their body coming out. but thats it. those fins become heavy wet blankets outside the water. never known guppies to be jumpers

You can keep them in it if it's food safe. I know alot of fish keepers who use them for hospital and quarantine tanks. Look for one that is 80 liters or more, more is always advised.

Bettas don't live their whole life in a punny container. They are only their until their sold or they die you dumbass!!!. And that's not a tank, it's a plastic container. And 1g/ guppy!!! Your way more stupid then the people at Petco!!!

I like the set up. Some anacharis would help oxygenate the water and also provide more hiding places for the guppies. The stuff grows like weeds with a fluorescent bulb or some partial sunlight.

Bettas don't live their whole lives in those "cups". They are temporary holding places until they are purchased. They are usually in those containers only for about a week, maybe longer. For your idea to actually work you would need a larger tank, at least a 10 gal. Not a 4 gallon plastic tub. One inch per gallon rule, guppies an inch each, 3 gallons, betta 3 inches, 3 gallons. Guppies will breed easily so I'm guessing if you have a female and a male you will have about 8 fry a month... Please upgrade or get a larger "pond"

What about tiger barbs and tetras attacking your betta?Most fish attack bettas because of there colourful fins and betta chase most fish cos there aggresive,I think the are best kept alone or with corys/kuli loaches.

the same goes with tank you wouldnt want to live in a glas tank or a plastic tub my objection to tub s that they arnt desighned for holding water especialy not pet water because it could have toxns in it..
