My Betta showing off for the camera.I rescued him from Petsmart one day while I was there for equipment for one of my other tanks.He is kept in a 20 gallon lightly planted tank with 2 zebra danios.He is happy and gets along great with his buddies.Big upgrade from his 6 ounce cup of dirty water!

My first betta was a giant plakat koi betta and it died in 2 days. It had a 17 gallon tank with 3 platys that ignored it but it kept jumping. It cost me 20 dollars. I have a double tail yellow/black body and white/metalic blue tail. white without light and with light incredbibly shiny so i called it argos as it means brilliance for just how beautiful he is. I hope he doesn't die but he cost 4 dollars so it wouldn't hurt too bad.

Its kind of luck with Bettas. Usually by the time you get them their lifespan was cut way short by them sitting in the pet stores in the little cups of water.

Yea mine was mad at me all the time for some reason. So most of the time I got near him he would flare. But on his good days he was cool and would do the leaf trick(lays on a leaf) for food. It's crazy how much personality Betta's have. He didn't last long though. He was older when I rescued him from a pet store cup.

I have 4 bettas

2 blue

2 red/blue

The red ones always flare at each other like its personal but don't worry we only flare them like twice a week

Mine has been doing this I think it's coz he wants to fight his reflection in the glass because the tank light makes a reflection inside the tank so he thinks it's another betta fish haha
