Hi not to be mean or rude but I think your betta fish would prefer a less flow in the filter because betta fish are not that strong swimmers and they preffer slow flow or no at all ;)

Beta is stressed and the type of tank is like for a goldfish your beta needs wasaaaaay more room than that brotha

usually goldfish need no more than 20 gallons+ 10 per extra goldfish, it's single tailed that need 40 gallons. fancies only need 20+, but 29 and up are usually better sizes.

I had that tank, got rid of it because the filter was too strong and the tank too small. Get the Aqua Culture 5 gallon starter kit; it's way better for the fish and actually cheaper!

I have the same tank as you do, and i can tell you the ilter is wayyyyy to strong for the betta. you should add some air line tubing into the exput area to ake the flow less strong. that is my opinion. the flow is way to strong. it will stress your betta to have to swim that much.

Not at all. There is certainly enough room for one single betta! Compared to other setups and tanks ive seen, I honestly think mine is pretty good. Its previous owner had him in terrible conditions, his tank was full of plastic plants with no heater and it was most likely less than half my tank in size which is utterly ridiculous. He did much better and recovered from the tears. Unfortunately he passed away a month ago after a friend took care of it while I was travelling

+Majestera OT its a Grreat Choice 1.2 gallon Acrylic Aquarium. It is fully equipped with a fluorescent light and gravel pump. Its an amazing tank, but fairly easy to scratch since its not glass

Patience! I always wait until they get better fish in stores! But honestly looks shouldn't matter at all though, you can take good care of a fish no matter how it looks

Most of the time they look bad because of the conditions that they're kept under. I've had better fish that end up looking much better after you've taken them home and actually cared for them properly such as getting better coloring and etc.

+Dexterxed Brent I just prefer to have some type of circulating water than stank. It moves nutrients around and it also prevents a higher risk of infections. Thanks for your comment!

Actually, some experts even say 10g. So 5 is best for a permanent home. They live in huge areas in the wild. Not bowls

+Tony Zuniga He looks pretty startled because this was right after his water change, so he got stressed a bit. Also, the water current is at its lowest actually, you can tell by the surface of the water which is slightly spinning. my water pump cant really go any slower, and the main reason I use it is because my tank gets cloudy and dirty very easily, so I need some kind of circulation in it. Thanks for sharing

+John Ramirez Cool video man! Sadly, it isn't a crown-tail, it's a half-moon. He got his fins all ripped up because of his previous owner who had sharp, plastic plants all around him. Luckily he is slowly recovering. I will post an update video of my betta fish so stay tuned!
