http://amzn.to/2ErycBG - This light can clip on to any tank pretty much. It’s also dimmable and can change colors. It’s a perfect setup for Betta fish. Betta Fish Dimmable Light: http://amzn.to/2ErycBG Viewer question: how much light do Betta fish like? Should I be giving my tank a lot of light or not so much? I think they are pregnant. The larger female has always had the pinkish/red gill area, she was given to me by my student.. water parameters are good.. (video was taken b4 I did a h20 change.) Can you help with ID on them also? I think the male is a Japan blue? No clue about the LG female, and I think the sm f. Is a lace snakeskin? Maybe? which side? The intake side or the media box side. And this actually isn't the side of the tank I plan to put it on, I just used this side to test because the current filter is installed on the other side. Idk. Lol thats all i could think of other than maybe just putting it on the side of the tank, but you wouldnt be able to use your lid if you have it. It's way longer than the side of the tank, here's the lid and the side of the tank to show how wide the filter is. I'm stumped. And bummed. Maybe return it and try a tidal 110(of course check to see if itd fit). Theyre cheaper and supposed to be as good or better than aquaclears. Im gonna get one to try it out. I went back and forth between that one and this one. I think regardless I'll just keep it for my "someday" bigger tank. I've been wanting a bigger, yet shorter tank, like maybe a 40 breeder. I have such a hard time working in this tall one. I would rather tun two aqua clear 70s (that fit) then tamper with the brace of an aquarium. It sucks, but I would not alter the brazing. Yes it seems so easy to cut a lil bit. But I still wouldnt. Plus two ac 70s = more than one ac 110. You absolutely don't want to compromise the center brace, even with a shave, as you run the risk of it breaking. When I was at my aquarium store the other day, a client had just purchased a new tank, as the center brace on theirs had broken. With a broken brace, the entire tank was bowing out. Duct tape was luckily holding it until they got the new tank home. Better to send back the 110 and have two 70's. For anyone wondering about my 4 eyed guppy fry. It's been almost 2 weeks since I found him and he's doing very well! I just upgraded him to a 2.5 gallon where he will stay for however long he lives. I will be adding plants, but for now it's going to stay pretty bare so I can keep an eye on him. Also, I've been calling him Alien, so I guess that's his name 😅 He's alone because I don't feel comfortable putting him with other fish. He's still very tiny and could easily be hurt or eaten by other fish. He's not with the rest of the fry because I don't want him to breed when he gets older. He's very happy on his own and swims around to check everything out, I added a couple fake plants after I stopped recording so he had some new stuff to check out and play in 🙂 If you want alien to have a friend but not breed maybe ask around local area for a couple new born platy or mollies or buy a very pregnant platy or molly put in a seperate tank and after they have the babies place a couple in with alien. Anyone have experience with Threadfin Rainbowfish? I'm planning on putting up a 45 gallon in April and saw them at my lfs and decided they are the one fish I must have. Also any ideas for tank mates. I do plan on having my panda and albino cories in with them as well so a few more ideas of other mates that would get along well with these 3 would be great.
