I struggle with the plastic one the fry are so small they fit through the slits and when they fall through the false bottom they swim back up and the guppy eats them.

The grate is required for the divider to work. I tried introducing my male and female bettas (conditioning purposes) in it, and was going to try introducing bloodworms (without the chasing with the tongs or cleaning worms off the bottom of the tank) and left the grate out. They just swum under the grate, it has more than enough space for a betta to get under.

I have a question, I recently bought a 10 gallon tank for my betta fish, and I also bought some bottom feeder fish that normally clean the algae and glass at the bottom. Would it be okay for them to be together, I have 2 of the bottom feeder fish and the tank is pretty wide. If it is okay, should I put the bottom feeders in first, or the betta?

yea if youre gonna keep the females together youd have to make a sorority tank, meaning about 4-6 female bettas of about the same size

Honestly I wouldn't keep a betta in a breeding container because part of them having a bare minimum of 2.5 gallons is the enrichment you fit in the tank (plants, hiding holes etc...) For a temporary thing and to introduce bettas to a community sure! But having one in isolation for forever is, in my opinion, kind of cruel. It would be a very boring life given they are so inquisitive.

I don't think it would be best for a bettas entire life .thats for sure..but as a good temp solution its definitely better then a bowl or cup since the water is cleaner and less toxic.

I've use breeding net before and it's horrible for keeping fry in. Fry can get stuck in the net and outside fishes can pluck them out. Especially when the fry rest on the bottom of the net. I would recommend cover the bottom part and add plants.

Really? I've never tried to separate fry.. I just use my breeding containers for juvenile/adult bettas..but thats good info to know. Thanks for sharing!

Mr.demon Betta is not a butterfly Betta, but he is a marble Betta (even better) because marble is a genetic mutation that allows the Betta to change color! Look up butterfly bettas and you will see the difference! (My uncle breeds bettas)

This time he is in a super secure container with a lid and a rock on top. I also check that tank 3 to 4 times a day just to be sure. Its just temporary for now. I think I might get Demon betta his own tank possibly.

Creative Pet Keeping Just a heads up sometimes suction cups on the breeders nets loose their grip over time and the net falls down and the fish inside it can escape. For you it would mean that your bettas would be in contact with each other. Just a warning since when i used my net to house my platy fry it fell off and they got out.
