How often should you clean your betta fish’s tank? And how often for a water change? I’m really interested in getting a betta fish, and I would love advice and basics of caring for a betta fish.

ItsHannahhh I clean and do water changes on my tanks every week, but every two or even three weeks is fine if your tank is big enough (5 or more gallons). It's best to just do 25% changes every week or 40% every two weeks (this works with most tanks). I'm thinking about doing a care video soon but I hope that helps for now!

I'm pretty late but, if you don't mind me asking what type of siphon / python do you use? I have trouble with mine and it hurts my hand, because I always have to squeeze the thingy in order for the water to come out and work, thank you.

Justine ._. I use a siphon from aqueon, it takes some practice to get it to start siphoning the water but there's some videos on here that should help! Sorry for the late reply!

Is that a glass or acrylic tank? I don't know which one I should get

xXMyCatFredXx it is a glass tank. Acrylic tanks weigh less than glass, are sometimes more expensive than glass tanks, and they scratch easier. I personally prefer glass because it's easier to find for me.

my aquarium is 2.5 gallon :(
In it's small and all but my parents said that we don't have much space to put a much more bigger tank... But my betta Cleo seems to be enjoying it... But again I am sorry for having a small tank..
