If anyone watching this wants to get/has a betta, please don't think this video has a good tank size for your fish
Bettas can survive in small places, BUT will not live to their potential lifespan, and will have a very uncomfortable life. They may even become too aggressive. It may not seem like much, but having a bigger tank will make your betta much happier with their life. <3

Just FYI for anyone watching who owns a betta or wants to get one-- Betta fish cannot be kept in bowls! They require at least five gallons, filtration, and heat. They're cool little animals, but need a lot of love!

bettas can live happily in a 2.5-3 gallon as well. most fish owners go with the one gallon per inch of fish method for adding fish to tanks, so 2.5 or 3 gallon tanks are used for one betta and a 5 for two betta in a divided tank

I just changed his water, and I wouldn't dare use the heater because my apartment is already at like 75-80 degrees, so that isn't a problem.... I looked it up, and he does kind of look a little bloated tbh even though he hasn't eaten in like 6-7 days :(

Meli Jeli I would recommend looking online to help diagnose the problem a little better. Make sure his tank is at an appropriate temperature, is being filtered, and has fresh water.

(I need help asap) my betta fish is at least 2 years old (maybe more), and is recovering from some pretty bad fin rot (I already got the medicine, AQ salt, etc). However, he stopped eating any food at all for the first time ever (for about 6 days straight), but he looks a little more bloated than the betta in this video.. help! My betta fish is going to starve D:

Meli Jeli 2.5 is considered the absolute minimum. 5 gallons is recommended as that gives them enough room to explore without getting bored super easily.
