hi please can you tell me how to keep tank at the right temp in summer months i have just checked my tank it is 82f i have no betta yet i am cycling the tank still i just a bit worried 82 f is a bit to warm for betta i tried a fan near the tank but it never cooled it lol

I needed to tell you this immediately because we have the tank 3 gallon half moon set up. Do you still have the airstone it came with and do you USE it? I used mine on a very VERY extremely light bubble because much like yours, he enjoys swimming in them. But last night the bubbles caught one of his gills and it's stuck flipped up. I posted a video on my other channel if you want to see what I mean - just look up "Betta with flipped gill" and it should be the first video with a black betta fish. I was told I could flip his gill back very gently, which I tried to do to no avail. I just want to pass this information on to you in hopes you remove your bubbler. My fish LOVED it, but it honestly messed him up pretty good.

Your 20 gal is way to overcrowded with plants those poor fish have no place to swim except that small spot it looks more like a 10 gal than 20 gal

In the wild tiger barbs come from forest swamps which usually have very dense vegetation so they appreciate heavily planted (artificial or real) tanks! While it may look crowded to us remember that fish are able to swim between the stems and leaves of the plants so there's more swimming space than it may appear.

Do you adjust the flow of your filters? If so how? Btw I'm asking about your tetra 5 gallon tanks because I have these tanks but I find the flow is a bit too strong.

Julie Vargova so take the filter out and on the bottom there will be a sliding "switch" thing and if you slide to the right you will reduce the flow and slide to the left you strengthen the flow. Hope this helps!

Ive seen people cut a water bottle in half horizantally according to the length of the filter flow and hook the water bottle on the filter so the flow will soften

Does that work for tetra whisper filters? I have also heard of modifying the filter by replacing the media to make it work like a canister filter; adding sponge, polyfil and a bag of bio media

my filter also do not have adjustable button ... so what I do is try to minimize water flow by using air tubing .. put air tubing inside the outgoing flow ...just stick in it.. so the outgoing water flow will be wee bit slow and never disturbing our fish especially the lil one
