I have 2 beta that I keep in separate tanks. One is white and we call him leche and the other one is dark gray that we call Cooper. We rescued Cooper from Wal-Mart. Nobody would buy him and he lived in terrible conditions. It makes me mad when people purposely don't take care of fish. Accidents will happen I get that, but fish still have feelings because they are living creatures too so it's important to take care of them as much as we can.

how did you get it to play with the ball, i got ping pong balls yesterday and my beta fish wont play around with it plz help

I didn't "get him" to play with it. I just put them in to see what he did because I heard betta's can be playful and curious. And this is by his own doing, I just put them in. Like any animal, you can't force them to play with something they have no interest in. Not every betta plays or likes the same things, and yours may not like ping pong balls.

You should get one of those fish school kits. I forgot what they're called. You can teach your fish to play soccer, swim through a hoop, play fetch, and other neat tricks. I bet your betta would perform.

My betta fishes stomach is swollen. I read that if I feed him a green pea that it will help him. Is this true or not?

The green pea only works on goldfish I think

Rachel Cristofani If his scales look risen, he might have dropsy. If he hasn't produced feces in a while, he may be constipated. Try feeding him Daphnia before trying a pea, because Bettas are carnivorous (Daphnia basic acts like a laxative).
