I too have a crowntail betta in a fluval chi. Is it possible to turn the the flow down? And how can i make the filter safer for my bettas fins as his fins almost got sucked in.

Mark Cena it's Marina compact heater 25w. Plants are real but I don't know what they are called.

Mark Cena Mark Cena Hi, to be honest I don't think you can turn the flow down. However you can use plastic cover to keep it minimal. I never have a problem with the filter suction, I used both foam and pads with no accidents. Let the beta get used to the tank, he will be avoiding the filter if it can harm him. Hope it helps.

Lovely tank and Betta. I'm looking at this exact tank, among others, for a Betta - would you say this is the ideal size or could I go smaller? Fluval make a 10 litre tank, but I'm worried that may be too small..

It's perfect size for one Betta. Smaller fish tank will be too small for any fish.
