It's fine to do 100% water changes, it's just the fact that bettas are delicate and can be stressed by the sudden changes. There are no beneficial bacteria that exist in the water column. I think you should invest in sponge filter or even make your own because it provides better biological filtration for your aquarium considering you don't have a filter for your aquariums. Do you have a test kit? Are your tanks cycled?

+Mr. Purple I do have a test kit... yes my tanks are cycled. I also have filters but I only use them when necessary because I do more water changes than normal.

The only thing I do differently is that I scrub the sides of the tank, because my tank gets a lot of Algae. I also siphon my sand because a lot of uneaten food and poo will build up down there between cleaning so I think it important to siphon you tank

I probably should have. I'll add it in an annotation. I forgot to show it because I filmed myself cleaning my tank and then added a voice over. So I forgot to mention it. Thanks for the reminder!

That's good to hear. As it was a cleaning your tank properly it maybe should have been in the video as it's an important part of the process. Often people don't know sand requires extra care. I totally agree with not taking the betta out, I find mine prefer to stay in the tank too. As you said it's a lot less stressful. Love the thumbnail!
