they may not be fighting but it may even over time stress them out.
Many to a client for her tank. First two days they hurt their fins but now they relax again
Also, how do you get your tank planted that well? I have some planted bogwood and hidey holes/silk plants but I strugglee with underwater plant life for some reason -.-

All female
A: a wild species of betta. Not domestic bettas. Why.
because I had 2 male bettas with 7 females, and they fought once, the reason is they were in a small tank, once I put them in a 30 gallon long( with the 7 females) they would both flare up and go their own ways.
Reading below a lot of people are concerned that adding a couple of males in with females is a bad idea....having kept mbuna (which crap all over bettas in the aggression stakes)...I believe that if you provide enough territories and enough escape routes and you watch your fish for stress - this can be done...it is what mbuna keepers have to do - this is no different...it is about finding the balance.....Bettas in the wild dont have partitions of glass to hide behind do they?...no.
I assume few females first then 1 male then second male???.
This is the first time I see:
1. bettas in lots of water
2. many bettas together without fighting.

She has a large tank for her bettas, so I dont belive she ment it was okay to group many bettas on a 10 gallon tank.
and nevermind all your fluff, just look at their fins... they are slowing killing eachother... you achieved nothing but being a poor fishkeeper... please reconsider, and stop with the cutesy voice to help ignore the problem you're creating!
This is not something to be followed as it's going to end in disaster at some point and many people's fish are going to end up hurt or dead trying to copy this.
Called fighting fish for a reason.
Females can live together semi peacefully in a large enough group. Males do not live with females, they are solitary in their territory. They can live with other fish though depending on their temperament.
There is a reason why everyone who works with these fish for a living and studies them, breeds them, etc... does not do this.
The advice you're giving out in the comments as well isn't great. Cichlids are territorial yes but they also coexist in the wild. Betta fish in the wild do not socialize with each other and they won't socialize with each other in a tank. All you're doing is giving them unwanted stress. If you give them enrichment and even tankmates in other forms as well as lots of attention they won't be lonely. But adding another betta isn't the best course of action. Even adding tankmates is risky, they are solitary fish, most likely depending on your betta, they're fine alone.
Females bettas are also not all peaceful you can't expect to keep 2 in a tank with a male betta and expect them to get along.
This tank is an exception not the rule,
planted 75 gallon aquarium with lots of hiding caves. The males manage to find
each other in the corners of the tank. Within two weeks I had males with
ripped up tails, one died. This is bull. They will find each other and
it will not be pretty. Sure if you have the money to replace them as
they die but some of us love them.... I wasted time and money on this
setup... Thanks....
fluval aquatics and every lfs reccomend a minimum of 2 litres ( 1/2 gallon) for every single bettas, although i do reccomend 1 gallon or more for every betta

And breeding is not easy, done it myself for a number of years... and egg tube? The ovi? That has nothing to do whether or not the female is ready to breed..........
