What type of water conditions should a Betta fish have? What should Betta fish eat? This is a basic beginner Betta fish care guide. I hope this helps you take better care of your pet fish. Scientific name: Betta splendens Lifespan: 3 – 10 years (In captivity) Betta Fish need: Filter - but make sure the current is not too strong for your betta. Heater - Betta fish like water temperatures between 78-82ºF/24-27ºC Places to hide and feel secure. Avoid jagged rocks or decorations Did you know? The betta got its name from an ancient clan of warriors, called the "Bettah." The fish were given a combatant name after the fighting fish became popular in the mid-1800s. In fact, the sport became so renowned in Thailand that the former King of Siam had it regulated and taxed! Spectators of the sport based their bets on the bravery of the fish, rather than the damage inflicted by the victor. He is doing great I’m actually buying a filter today as I just got the money to buy one
They is a store called akvarie butikken
I have 9 tanks and only 2 have filters (because i cannot afford that many). But if you do not have a filter i reccomend to get some live plants as it will act as a natural filter
and how is he doing?
And who is that they?

"Fish are like children. You're basically trying to spoil him."

From what I can tell it's perfectly fine to turn off the filter for about 3mins during water changes, though you'll want to turn off a submerge-only heater as well if the water levels don't allow for it.
I did have my filter turned off by accident for at least 45mins (in a 3.5L tank) without destroying the filter cycle... but I wouldn't make a habit of it. Just got lucky.
1)do i have experience with betta fish to a reasonable lvl
2)do you have enough room. id recommend more than 48L for guppies as while small do multiply like rabbits, fish like neon tetra that dont multiply rapidly are better and id recommend no more than 5 of them
3)how aggressive in your betta when feeding? is he slow to the food or fast and violent? if slow then you may need to hand fed him worms if u have other fish using tongs or whatever else is similar as if he is violent the he will kill the others for food but if not then the others may eat his food and starve him.
if you think you can handle all of the above and have the patience to do so then yes id say go ahead and try it out, make sure you have a pot or figure that the other fish can hide in the make sure u have plenty of plants.

Although bettas are extremely tolerant and hardy fish and can survive in awful water conditions for moderate periods of time, that's not an excuse to deliberately keep them in those conditions. They'll survive for a few months, at best, before dying due to their living conditions.
Any other questions, feel free to ask :)
and now I am interested to betas and googled it.
is it ok to betas live with other fish? how come our 3 betas not aggressive to each other?
I'm assuming that you're not permitted to use multi-sockets or dual-sockets on site?

am looking forward to buy a betta fish.. a male rosetail if possible.. i am buying a 5 gallon tank.. i know its not a good idea to put two betta fishes in one tank.. so plss tell me which other fishes will fit my fish......
If it's sick or spending most of it's time idle, then you really should get a filter to correct the situation and reduce the amount of required PWCs.
Water changes, while beneficial, still stress fish out to some degree (though not to nearly the same degree as poor water).
Small living quarters with no filter or heater could quite easily be compared to basic prison cell environments... so yeah ^.^
1. Fish could have been sick when you bought it.
2. Maybe the tank wasn't cycled? (google "fishless cycling" if you don't know what I'm talking about).
3. Too many dried worms can actually make fish constipated, which can be fatal to fish. This is why the video mentions not to use dried foods. Using pellets and frozen foods is a good alternative.
1- They are moving fluently.
2- Their colours are bright, not dull.
3- It has a bubble nest.
4- It eats it's food.
But I had a hermit crab that I got and was holding at the same time (and I wanted a ten gallon as well) and I was really pissy and tired and had to go to the bathroom (lol) and Im like "look just give me a ten gallon for my hermit crab and I'll go somewhere else for my betta stuff." Luckily i still had my old ten gallon that I kept my mouse in, I cleaned that up used THAT for my crab and the new one for my betta. Now to get the thermometer, the filtration system, etc... Oh gods and the only other places in town are chain pet stores. -_- What a load of BS
(PS: The guy standing next to me said that he kept his betta in a VASE. A freaking VASE! I'm never going back there. I feel really bad I couldnt get any decorations or hidey hut for my Betta but maybe when we go to Walmart later we can get some cause essetially right n ow he/she is just freaking out. A pretty little thing - blue super delta beta is what they called it. Though not sure if its what thats what it really is.
shrug)(PPS: Regardless if i got a community tank or not which I dont know, I wanted ampel space for my betta to explore and hide with beautiful decorations and space to be able to just hill at. But yeah. What a load of bull. -_-)
But he/she has calmed down a lot and doesn't display any signs of aggressiveness anymore (attacking the reflection, flaring, etc.) all of that has faded away and its not even been two weeks. Friday's responsive to my voice and I think it even seems happy (like almost a puppy it has a sort of twinkle in its eye) when I'm in the room. It watches me and I think that's kinda cool. Whatever the case may be it's a really healthy fish and I don't want to do anything drastic right now. Especially with everything going on and all my appointments >_<'
Edit: He's not dead yet. Which is a good sign! Lol. I trust this woman. Like I said, years ago when I was like four I got my crabs and kept them in a CRITTER KEEPER. So Jay is doing much better than that. (Fancy livin'!) She said that I can keep them in that, but I told her specifically I wanted a 10 Gallon for one tank so he could have all the space all to himself. And I hear him move around at night, he makes noise, so yes, he's fine and he seems happy and he's even responsive to my voice. I don't think anything's wrong with him being alone for now.
Friday (& Jarvis)'s really intelligent and I'm glad I got her. I'm just angry at that store for giving out false information and I feel sorry anyone else who goes in there expecting to find correct info.
I observe them and they have their own ways, ... one loves to sleep in a cave, one sleeps against the heater, one sleeps in the vegetation and the other in open water .... I really want to know if the size of the tank has something to do with their ability to live longer. I have very old bettas and one is 11.5 years of age and still active.
They say bettas live around two years, so they say the same about Danios but I know of danios who reached 12 years ....
What is important is water stability and healthy water parameters. These are more difficult to maintain in small tanks, but not impossible, especially if the owner has any fish keeping experience.
My recommendation to anyone reading this, and anyone who really wants a Betta, get what you can afford. Do not be tricked into buying massive aquariums (though they will make your life easier in the long run). Buy a small tank, a heater, and a sponge filter. Cycle the tank and put a Betta in it. With regular maintenance your Betta will live a full and happy life, no big tank needed. Take it from someone who has been keeping numerous Bettas for a long time. Someone who has the experience and scientific background to back up his claims.Someone who isn't here to sell you an emotional sob story. Thanks for reading. Happy fish keeping.

NOT TO OVER FEED beta fish
A heavily planted, 15-gallon tank with a heater and heavy-duty sponge filter is a good way to keep a sorority. No less than 5 females, and no more than 9 for a tank that size. Odd numbers work better for some reason, and it's best to introduce the females all at once if you can, to reduce bullying.
