Poor guys are skinny too! You'll fix em right up, though <3 Rescued a very unwell shubunkin a few months back and he's doing great now.
EDIT: You asked about our bettas, I think? I have a gorgeous fuschia-colored female named Sasha, supposedly veiltail but I wouldn't be able to tell XD. I must be doing something right because the couple of times I accidentally split her fins she had them back to normal within about two days. I'll get a video of her after the next water change and link you. :) I also bought some Ember tetras as tankmates for her, which so far is working perfectly.

PS: Now I have so many mysteries (thanks to your incubating video!) I gotta start selling them!! XDD It'll be good for me, since I'm hoping to start breeding Gold Nugget Plecos and obviously the babies will have to go somewhere.

PSS I'm nuts about horses...always have been...but I can't have one T-T

I might be able to make Toronto, it is only 5 hours away. Are you getting the females eventually. If you do what your friend @uarujoey does it is very cheap and easy for your hubby to cut to size and practically indestructible. and i reccommend either runnin a second wireless router in the basement run an ethernet cable to the basement first though or use a wireless signal extender but you will need a free outlet for either of those might help with some of this im directly under mine in my basement and its small so no problems here planning a blacked out aquascape with black slate 3d background done through rockwork maybe some waterfall effects

Would a bristlenose pleco be okay with a betta Fish? I have a 10 gallon tank. Also, does a bristlenose pleco need a friend or can I just have one?

Alyssa Jewell yup, they make great tankmates. A ten is a little small, but if it’s just the betta and the pleco, you should be fine.

My husband got them for me. I think they are basically shop rugs- they have a rubber backing so they don't slip and a very short nap, so easy to clean up but a little cushion for me while standing on concrete all day.

I missed the live stream again ugh I love your channel I have 3 tanks right now I have a 5.5 gal for one of my Betta fish he was a rescue so it's the only tank I had on hand I have a 10 gal for my other male Betta and then I have a 60 gal sitting with water in it I am not sure yet what type of fish I want I am thinking Orandas I do 50% water changes every week so adding one or two more water changes a week would not be a big deal I love my fish and clean water is always best

My Betta had a lot fin damage form being in the cup to long, after a few 100 water changes his fins are looking like the should.

If you got to Toronto in June, you HAVE to stop in Mississauga and visit Finatics Aquarium. You won't be disappointed! Mike's shop specializes in Cichlids, and if you are super lucky, you'll get to see some very interesting rare Cichlids in there and some differently coloured Rams.

Rachel great talk as usual even though I missed it. Made sure I clicked the notification button this time. Can't wait to see you really get going with your greenhouse. Great to hear your getting into carnivorous plants as well. I was into them for a number of years, grew them all outside in a bog as well as the small cattle troughs. But then moved on to the Asian pitcher plants - Nepenthes. Now those I really fell in love with. Took over my spare bedroom which made me get a greenhouse alittle smaller than yours for them. It was heated for them during the winter. Had them for about 3 years. But unfortunately to a family matter summer I was gone for a week. Came back to cooked plants because the fan broke. Now I have fish during the winter time int here until I move them out during the summer. Oooh sorry to ramble. Your gonna love your greenhouse. Can't wait to see what all you do with it. Again great talk!

I cannot WAIT to experience your female Betta Sorority through the tube!! I tried and failed - terribly :'(
I bought 5 gals, put in a 35 Gallon long and now own three 5 gallons and the 35 Gal long is divided in two - failed miserably!! It was quite heartbreaking :'( they have since healed ( lost one, think she was actually egg bound ) but they have recovered and and are chilled out alone. I LOVE the idea and LOVE to see them together but couldn't do it successfully myself. Bummed you got the males cuz I selfishly want to see your Soroity!! =D

Thanks for the new video. I just got 2 used stock tanks, a 70 & 100 gallon. How should I clean it before setting them up. Also, I live in South Florida so it's pretty hot year round. What small fish would you recommend stocking with as a breeding pond for profit. I have never done this so it's an exciting project for me.

What are you feeding the Beta? I have one and he only has small pellets. Can I feed him other kinds of food and would crustaceans make their colour more vibrant?

He took a long time to grow its tail back... sometimes I hate pet shops

A variety of foods is best, they are carnivores/insectivores. Be cautious with freeze dried as it can be constipating. High quality pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, mysis shrimp. Live blackworms, mosquito larvae etc.

As long as I can watch it afterward, I'm happy! I miss a lot of live streams, so I like to queue them up later and watch them while I'm working on my computer (as they tend to be quite long), it gives me a fun, and sometimes educational distraction!

Yea, It is hard to know WHEN to stream, as folks are literally subscribed from all over the world. I try and pick a different time of day each time to sort of spread the love. I will be doing these on fridays, so will be mixing it up so that more folks have the opportunity to harass me live should they want to :)

missed it live - but ya - i feel you about the betta fins. When i got Drogon (he's a dragonscale with red fins), all of the ends of his rear fin were super degraded. Now, months and months and months later, he's got a good amount of regeneration. It's such a shame they are kept in such poor conditions for sale - especially in chain stores with poor husbandry.
