http://amzn.to/2B7t7tb - I’ve fallen in love with this Betta food. I highly advise a top quality food for your fish! Betta Buffet Food: http://amzn.to/2B7t7tb I decided that I wanted to have a live plant in my betta aquarium to help cut down on algae and help convert some carbon dioxide into fresh oxygen for the fish. I'd like to see pics or vids of people's freshwater sumps. Here is a pic of mine. It's on a 200 gal tank. From left to right. 3 filter socks(200,100, and 20 microns), then 3 bays with ceramic rings, 8L of Seachem Matrix, and 6 bags of Purigen. Next is a wet/dry filter with Seachem Pond Matrix. Under the wet dry is a 1000gph pump that cycles water back to the far left where it runs through the sump again. Next is a bay for the return pumps(2 at 800 gph), co2 pump and reactor, and a pump for a 55 watt UV filter(I run about 300gph past the light). The UV and co2 exhausts into a 200 micron sock in the same chamber. This was my first sump and will get them for all my tanks as time goes. Love them. So versatile. I made this one for my 210 gallon . 55 gallon tank water goes through 2 filter socks , into a chamber with course foam then filter floss( pulled it out to clean when took this pic) , fluidized k1 media chamber , bio media chamber , a baffle with purigen in it ,then to pump chamber that has 3 heaters in it. Water is low in this pic its normally higher in the pump chamber. Small plastic wagon wheel looking things that when bacteria grow on them become neutrally boyant. You then use either air or a pump to move water aground the chamber making them move around and bump into each other . bumping around causes the old bacteria to fall off so only health bacteria stays on the media. Its a very efficient way to filter. Here's a quick video of what it looks like. Not my video. I have not had a tank in awhile, when i used to i had a few different 210/220's and a 180 at different times. all had sumps with the same basic setup. all my tanks were for fancy goldfish so i did not need a heater. I used a old 125 tank as the sump. filter socks were first then 4/5l of Seachem pond Matrix, the entire middle of the sump was planted with hornwort with grow lights then on to a danner mag 1200 gph return pump. I had different separators to direct the flow between the chambers also. This type of setup is really common amongst high end fancy goldfish owners because once it was going with enough hornwort you did not have to do water changes as the hornwort would eat the nitrates perfectly. When ever i would be done grooming the fish and sold them i would sell the tank fast, always bought them cheap and sold them cheap. When i did take the setup down i would have like 20 pounds of hornwort that was packed in a 5 foot area of the sump. I don't have a pictures though on my new pc. I miss having the setups though as i am due to buy and start another one. Live Betta Plants Plants for Betta fish
