This makes me so happy, most people use filters that are much too strong for the fish. I love the fact you thought of that. I took one of the under gravel filters out of the 1 gallon tanks and put it in my 2.5 gallon with the air pump set on low and it's also fine.

Be careful with the plastic plants. I had this problem a few years ago, your beta will make a microscopic cut on his fins and it may lead to all sorts of problems. You can replace them pretty cheaply with live plants that are hardy and don't need CO2 systems and all that stuff like a lot of planted aquariums do. Java moss and amazon swords are good choice. Besides being better for your Betta they do your fish a ton of good. Just a suggestion, not a criticism. SW

This is my bettas old tank, He is now in a 5 gallon tank with real plants video for the new tank is in the downbar of this video, But while he was in this tank his fins was fine all the plants was soft but hes in a better tank now and with live plants so check that video out if you want :)

Which filter do you use for the 2.5 gallon tank? I'm looking for a filter, but every filter I look up has a current.. :/

Sorry for the late reply have only just read this, I use a spray bar filter I got it off ebay only for few pound had it in my tank for nearly 4 months betta is still fine the current is ok for him :)

That's a really pretty tank setup. I love the blue theme and it makes the betta look like it's meant to be there. I'm glad you have a 2.5 gal instead of a small vase. Your betta must be really happy!
