Hello another question . So I set up my new tank this Monday and added my betta. And the next day ( Tuesday the 18th) my water was kind of cloudy it isn't that cloudy but I can't really see threw the other side very good. I've done resource and people say to just leave it for 1-3 weeks and it will go away and others say to do 25% water changes or even 50% but at this point I'm really confused. Do you know what I can Do to fix this? Thank you and hope I get a fast respond.

Bonnie 1000 ya I have one but I changed my betta to a 10 gallon tank. I took out the heater and put that one instead I know it doesn't do much but It's something.

hi, I just got my betta yesterday and moved him slowly into a 5 gallon tank. how long do you think the betta should take to get "used" to his new tank? he keeps swimming up, around the sides, and close to the heater. he hasn't explored the ornaments or live plant yet. :) love your videos

Trash Edits It may take awhile for your fish to become comfortable with its surroundings. Try not to bother him (like tapping the glass or putting your face against the glass).

My tanks are always dirty. I got a two three gallon tanks and a 1.5 gallon all have filters. and they get dirty within two weeks :/

Nope! 5 gallons is a perfect size :) My 2 males are in 5's. My female -who is also named Journey! - lives in a 3 :)

Two weeks is actually pretty normal for a tank that size. I clean my 3's every two weeks, and some weeks are better than others. When I used to have 1 gallons, they were cloudy within 3 days, so with a 1.5 gallon with a filter would likely make around a week. I don't think you're doing anything abnormal! :)

I also saw those reviews and worried the same thing before I bought mine. I personally haven't had any leaking problems with it, and I've been using it about three months :) The sides are held together with a silicon-y clear glue type rubbery substance. Hope this eases your concerns a little :)

Yep! She has a visible egg spot - she also has the characteristic thin ventrals, no beard while flaring, and also she has never blown a bubble nest! :)

I guess she was just born that way :) She has all the characteristics of a female (emotional and physical). Her fins are just a little bit longer, however they are still shorter than a male's and shaped like a female's. She's my little princess :)

Nope - it's actually 3 gallons! I agree it doesn't look all that much smaller than the 5's.

Nope! Journey is actually a female. She's a veiltail. Her fins may be on the longer side, however they are still shorter and shaped differently than a male, has no beard while flaring, has thin opposed to blade shaped ventrals, has a prominent ovipositor, and is pale in color. She also is less aggressive on average than my males and has never blown a bubble nest! Although the personality and color aren't determining factors on their own, when compared with the other traits, I can guarantee she is a girl :)

+Lifewithpets Thanks! The tank works perfectly for them. I have the filter turned down to the lowest possible flow, and it doesn't seem to bother them at all :)
