No if u were a Betta fish Freak u would not keep them in a divider it can stress them out and die and don’t put the store water in there even if u put the conditioner in if u put the store water it can cause amonia and Betta fish are known to live in small pockets of water but that doesn’t mean they live in a small pocket of water forever and u need to acclimate them DUH

Thanks for your concern. The dividers are solid and they can't see each other. This video is edited, I don't show everything. I did acclimatize them.
I don't have this tank anymore, they all live in 5 gallons. I know how bettas live and I would never make them live in small environments.

Hi, glad you like my channel. I got those bowls from the dollar store. They were in there temporary and moved into a tank a few days later. These bowls are okay for an emergency. I got my Bettas from Big Al's Aquarium

If you didn't get your tank in, why did you buy the Bettas? The tank needs to cycle so they are going to be stuck in those bowls for quite a while. Don't buy fish until you have your permanent habitat. You can do a fish in cycle, but you need to test the water frequently and do water changes much more often.

Thanks for your concern, did you read my description? I am not a newbie at fish owning. I have several tanks and I take the media from my established aquariums and put in the new tank which makes the tank cycled right away. It was either give the bettas back and let them suffer in very tiny bags or keep them in these bowls for 2 days and be cared for. When I went to the fish store I asked the employee to get me the tank and he said okay give me a few minutes, in the mean time I picked out my bettas and went to get my tank and the employee said there is no more tanks in stock but they will order me one to come right away, its in my description and I believe I talk about it in my video. I have no idea why there are dislikes, no on reads my description sadly. I picked out these Bettas and was picking up a tank. The tank was on display. I asked for the tank and they had none for sale at the moment. They would not sell the display tank.
I did not have the heart to put them back into the tiny bag that they were in with very dirt water.
It was so small so I decided to keep them and got three bowls until my tank came. So what would of been better? To leave them in the dirt bags and possible die from neglect or take them home for three days and give them food and clean water?

Some people have them in bowls, as long as its filtered and heated it may be okay, but in my opinion a square tank is better.

Betta's are better in square tanks with heaters and a filter. 5 Gallon minimum.

The next time you get fish NEVER EVER poor the bag water into your aquarium. If there is ever a disease in the water from the pet store it will infect your ENTIRE aquarium. I learned the hard way.

You can give them a cooked pea. A green pea. There are videos on youtube about it, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. You have to fast the fish. No other food but a pea.

OMG, don't you just want to rescue all of them? Here in the US at Walmart they keep them in TINY cups and its heartbreaking :-(. It makes me so sad that I can't bring all of them home :-(. I must say whatever store you get yours from has some beautiful stock!! They are so fat and healthy looking, not to mention vibrant. Jewels, your original Betta is stunning!! I just subbed, what got you into your passion for animals? I have a Zoology (getting my PhD) and Wildlife conservation degree so its a passion of mine as well ;-). I noticed you have a LOT of pets, I normally get nervous when people get a ton of animals because they tend to "collect them" and then don't properly care for them, but you are a rarity. You take such good care of all your little fur, scale, and feather babies :-). They all look beautiful and happy. We need more people like you in the world.

I have always worked in the animal field. I started with working at pet stores and then at vet clinics and then a pet groomer. I love caring for animals and giving them the proper environment.
I study animals all the time, always updating myself with pet care.

THAT I have to agree on. You should never put the water from the store in the tank, even if it's a temporary tank or bowl (quarantine if you like). The water might contain all sorts of crap and diseases that you do not want to introduce in any of your own tanks.

Jillian Leigh I have mine in a bowl because I'm waiting on the rest of his tank that I had to order from ebay.com but he seems fine and healthy, i make sure I keep his water clean. His stuff will be here this Wednesday so only 3 more days to go and he will be in his new forever home.

+Karol Escobar algea eaters get very large. I have dwarf cories in mine. They stay small.
I have a snail as well. I have heard that Bettas eat shrimp.
I have had one Betta, 2 dwarf cories, a snail and 3 gold tetras in mine. Worked great

Tho I understand what you're saying - I too would have a difficult time at leaving them in such ridiculous little filthy cups in the store, knowing that they would't stand a chance of survival - but a tank isn't cycled after only a few days. It takes a few weeks. But somehow I'm pretty sure you already know this, right? ;)

+StephMullyy I was at the pet store to buy the tank that I wanted, it was on display and the employee said that they have it in stock. I told him to get me the tank while I picked out my bettas and when I went to go get my tank it was not in stock. So I had the 3 bettas in my hands already and did not want to put them back into the filthy tiny cups that they were in. If I put them back they would die for sure and I wanted those three bettas. I figured they would be better off with me util my tank came and they survived, don't worry. I did say all this in my video, thanks for watching and thanks for your concern.

Calm down! She said they lived in those yucky containers at the shop, they probably netted the fish into the bags, so the water'd be less then an hour old. The poopy fish was probably just reacting to a scenery change.

know this is an older video and their in bigger tanks so it doesnt really matter anymore but why did you put that dirty water in the bags into the bowls? you should of filled the bowl with clean treated water and the scooped the fish from the bag and put in the bowl and dumped the fish store water as all that junk floating around isnt good.

One other thing, you should always acclimate your bettas when moving them, such as when you just now put them in the bowls. The change in water chemistry can cause them to go into shock and make them ill.

It sounds like your bettas have SBD. you will need to treat for that.
also, bettas were not meant to live in tiny bowls...the only reason the store has them that way is because they are more interested in store space and making money.
