Loveofpets Yes it looks Amazing! I went through your videos because I'm interested in buying a Betta fish, do you still have them? I'm getting all the information that I could get to star everything in a good way because I never had a fish tank and I would the more accurate possible without wasting anything

D.Darko I had too many tanks to keep up with. I was up to 8 tanks. It was too much for me. I am down to three tanks now.
This tank was awesome though and it was my best cycled and maintained tank ever. Sometimes I do regret selling it.

Beautiful tank!! Do you know what heater your getting for your 2.5 tank? I will need one for the colder months and not sure what to get? Afraid to burn my betta...;(I did go one winter without a heater, and he's very healthy, but heard that they should have a heater. Thanks!

That is such a beautiful tank! i had a few questions because I am also thinking of upgrading my 6l tank to 10-12l tank for my Halfmoon betta.
what is the size of this tank? the length and the breadth? and have you got a filter here? because i can see the flow in the water and Bettas usually don't like flow.

+Betta lover 123 No it would not. Never house a male and female together unless breeding for a brief time. They will kill each other. Males and females should be housed separate

Did you have to modify the filter nozzle to reduce the flow rate so that the current does blow Superman around? We just got our Fluval Spec set up and the flow is so strong!!!

Plants help the flow and keep the water level high enough;) There are some slow flow filters out there...for bettas

+paddleforward Sorry for the delayed answer. i put a toothpick in the outtake and I put the algae magnet in front of the flow so it does not blow around my betta too much.

i got a very similar tank and the same fish but just a tip of blue on the end of the tail. i also put a catfish with my beta and they get along perfectly.

Is a catfish easy to keep? Bcuz I'm a beginner and I'm getting a 30l (approx. 7.5 gallon) planted nano tank (is it even enough for both of them?)

+Loveofpets This is just my thought, I think it would be awesome if you added some Ghost Shrimp!!! I have some housed with my 2 female Betta fish Tahnahe (Tah-na-he) and Kikyō and they all get along like two peas in a pod ;) Btw, you have one beautiful Betta and a lovely tank.

The way you plant your tank is wrong. u should seperate them from the sponge n it will grow faster!! it is for a better setup. Nice tank btw

Thanks for the tip, my fish store told me that I could plant in the pot and then remove it in a few weeks. I did take it out later. Thanks again.

I'm thinking about getting this tank for my betta! Did you have to cycle it before you put the betta in, and if so how did you do it?

Hi, the tank should be cycled, I had other tanks and used the water from them and a handful of substrate to start the cycling. If you have not other tanks, put live tanks and put a little food in the water while the filter is running, I would wait a couple of weeks or longer, good luck

Nice. Tank but Is toooo small , you betta struggles a litle bit with the current ir the filter , i think the minimum of gallons for a betta Is 5 gallons , altough 10 gallon Is IDEAL !

+adrian gonzales Just wanted to get my two cents in here... I agree the bigger the tank the better, but 2.5 gallons, if it is heated and filtered, will be fine for most species of Bettas. I will say one of the cheap Petco 2.5 gallon tanks, an azoo Palm filter and a cheap heater would be cheaper than this tank, and would allow the better more swimming room.

Hi, the flow does effect the feeding, I unplug it and feed my Betta and when he is done chewing I turn it back on, otherwise the food goes flying through the water into the filter and the Betta can't catch the food.

Beautiful betta, I suggest cut some holes in the tube to minimize water flow, you can find video on youtube how to make fluval spec safe for betta, I think its called.
