+Scorch1 You'd probably be able to get it in the tank, but it would take up almost the entire bottom and wouldn't leave room for other decor except a plant or two. I haven't measured, but I don't think it would be too big to put in the tank, though.

I use the National Geographic 10w Submersible. It's technically for tanks 2.5 gallons and under, however I've used it in tanks as small as 1 gallon quarantines, and as big as 5 gallons. Because it shuts off automatically at 80F, it works with a large variety of tanks. :) I'd recommend that one any day.

I bought a 2.5 gallon for journey yesterday she was very very active and now she's at the bottom :(

:( Maybe she's just a little stressed from the change? Keep an eye on her though, but the activity could have been her simply exploring and now she's recovering from some stress from the move. If it doesn't improve within a couple days it could be something different, but for now, I wouldn't worry.
