is that a mercury thermometer if yes i sugest you cange it because you never know if something hapenes and it breaks the fish would die imediatly

nana! Since 2004 the production of mercury thermometers for houshold use is banned. Thermometers nowadays Thermometers have an alcohol mix inside them. Some aquarium thermometers have stainless steal beads around the alcohol Tube.

Hello, I love your tank setup, mine is still in the works and right now my baby Rose is in a 10 gallon filled about more than half ways so around 7 gallons I believe, he loves it. I don't have a filter and I've tried a micro silent filter but he didn't seem to like it at all and tries to swim behind things that are against the glass, half his face is burnt because I tried putting a heater in with him, he's perfectly okay but has been dealing with cold water all winter unfortunately but he doesn't seem to mind it at all honestly. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on filters for betta specifically because it's becoming a hassle to clean his tank and everything completely every week with my other two tanks. Thank you very much!

Thanks! I bought the gravel from a petstore here in sweden, but the aquarium is bought at ebay. Its called "Aqueon Mini bow 2.5 gallon". You can buy the same tank but in 5 gallon too :) they cost around 2 dollars on ebay :)

Great question!
What i like: its easy weight since everythings in plastic. It has both a lid, lighthood and filter designed with the aquarium kit. The filter is EXTREMELY quiet and well-working! Thanks to the great filter-design there is big space for plants and decorations. The walls are NOT bended wich is perfekt!

What i dont like: the light bulb you get with the tank is very yellow lighting so the water looks yellowish. The plastic walls gets ripped easily. The filter shadows the left side of the tank.

But i really recomnend this tank to everyone!!! Its awesome and the fish loves it! :D

You can get an aquarium kit at Petsmart for somewhere between 20 and 30 dollars. Most of them come with filters. You'll need a heater because the water needs to stay somewhere between 75-80 degrees, that's about 20 dollars... I've read that bettas prefer black substrate but I'm not sure how true that is. Live plants are better, an amazon sword or a java fern, and maybe some silk plants. Plastic is harder on the betta's long fins. They like places to hide. Altogether you'll spend about 60 on a proper home, maybe a little more. Be sure to condition your water if you're using tap water, or use spring water, not distilled :)

Hi! Its pretty hard for me to say whats it will gonna cost you in your country, but buy a tank like mine! They are really cheap on ebay. The design is called "Aqueon mini bow 2.5 gallon" and costs around 20 us dollars. The filter comes with the tank. Then you need bottom substrate, some plastic plants and decorations, a heater if your house gets cold in temperature at night, and finally you need to buy the betta! :) bettas are really easy to hold :)
