Beautiful betta, my betta gust died, but he was 8 years old and had a good life ,thinking about getting another one for my 5 gallon

+Kelly Suzanne If you did get the 10, you could add platies as long as the betta doesn't try to kill them. I personally have had luck with platies with a betta and even guppies with a betta before in a 10 gallon tank. You just have to keep and eye of them!

+Hickster58 So do you think I should just stick with the five gallon ? They do have plenty of room, but I'd like to get maybe five really small fish like platties , so I though 10 gallon would be better since a want a few more fish. BTW sorry if I spelled platties wrong, I misspell all the time LOL silly me

Thats very awesome! Their lifespan is between 3-5 but I think most only live a year if lucky since most people don't take the best of care of them:( What size tank did u have him in?

+Hickster58 Yes it was, he was really small when I got him, and he grew to be the biggest batta I've ever had. Most live 3 to 5 I think ? but I'm happy he lived so long and he was such a happy fish. I miss him so much. So I am going to get another one, I might get a bigger tank to. Thanks for you comment, and your vid

Beautiful betta and tank :)
I too, wish to create such a great tank, but I only have a 2.7 gallon tank. I took some fake plants out becasue my betta has fin rot, which he had since he was at the pet store. The tank currently has a medium sized driftwood and a small fake plant, two aquarium-safe seashells with a homemade leaf hammock. They don't take up a lot of space, they only take up about half of the tank. I currently have no decor for my betta to hide, so do you think I should get him a rock cave?

Why not use some real plants, you could get a broadleaf anubias in there and it would look awesome! Nice tank though and lovely Betta!
