The Betta is gorgeous! But, one thing not to do is too over feed. You can tell if you have over feed when it gets larger around the “neck area”. When this happens there 2 options. You can wait, and not feed for a day. Or you can feed it cooked peas with out the “skin” on the pea

Your beta fish looks exactly like my baby boy beta. His name is Smalls and he's 2x smaller. We rescued him from a cracked leaking cup. Dang, petco treats betas so badly!

Yeah, my Betta is also from petco/petsmart they give them horrible conditions to live in! We don’t even know how many times they feed them

You need a bigger tank. AT least a 2.5 gallon or more. She also needs a heater because she is a tropical fish and they live in warm climates.

animal addict sorry but my betta lived in a 1 gallon bowl for three years! I did weekly water changes and i didnt have a heater or filter, now i upgraded to a 4 gallon tank because my cousin gave me it after she stopped taking care of fish

The leaf bed thing I have too and my betta loves it you just have to train it go up to it because its scared of it it a new object you can train by when you feed him you put the food above the leaf and it will swim up to get the food then it won't be scared of it and it will use it

You are half right, it was a baby for sure and has grown way bigger but the sticker said baby boy and she grew up to be definite girl!

Different tank!! Dont use that tank! Its wayyy to small! And when you do its not self cleaning thing where you flow a bunch of water in it will bug him because of the flow. And you only feed fhem once to 2 times a day max it looked like he was fat.

He's super cute! Just don't forget you'll need to get a heater since he is a tropical fish and FYI that tank isn't self cleaning you'll still need to clean his tank when it gets dirty and once he gets bigger I would suggest getting a 2.5 gallon tank bc that is the minimum size tank for a betta fish
