Sry, but did you ever read smth about were bettas come from? And how the aquarium should look like to keep him species appropriate? This tank may look good in the eye of the observer, but this is not a good setup for a betta...
Jan Hoffmann
Jan Hoffmann - 6 years ago
ThatsSoRepti thats not what I meant, Heater and pump are fine. But from my knowledge and personal ecperience bettas are much better to keep on a darker ground and with way more plants with some of them floating
ThatsSoRepti
ThatsSoRepti - 6 years ago
Jan Hoffmann sorry, but have you read the description and literally 100’s of comments? A heater and filter was added when the tank was placed in its final area, and each tank is 2.5 gallons, the minimum size for a betta

ThatsSoRepti
ThatsSoRepti - 6 years ago
Sushi God hey! Bettas are really awesome. It depends on the shape of the tank. If it is a bowl, don’t get it. It will harm your betta. If it is a square shape I would say it would fit gravel and fake plants, but not a ton of them.

Blossom Buddies
Blossom Buddies - 7 years ago
ThatsSoRepti thanks so much
ThatsSoRepti
ThatsSoRepti - 7 years ago
Just make sure it is non-toxic, usually pet stores dont carry anything that will harm the fix but you never know. Most big brands will say non-toxic clearly marked on it.
Another thing is make sure the gravel is round or oval and doesnt have sharp edges as sometimes they will lay on the bottom or swim close to it and it can rip their fins.
Marbles as in the glass kinds are perfectly fine however you will need to make sure you rinse them well :)

Chemical for cycling? Do you know what cycling is? It's when you allow your filter to create beneficial bacteria to colonize that helps to lower your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels in your tank. Don't own fish if you don't even know the basics.

Thank you for also knowing how to properly care for bettas :)! Filter is a must, i do agree, but as i also forgot to write it in the description my fault, i am getting my filters in soon. For now i am keeping up my water changes and making sure its nice and clean.
Also, the betta that was put in here has sever fin rot, so i cant really trust a filter just yet cause she cant swim against currents really well.
Again, thank you for your comment. I always appreciate when people point out things that i failed to do or say.
