yeah I know right winter IS just around the corner and im not aloud to get heaters because my mom thinks they are a waste of money because the water would be room temperature but its not my tanks are like °65 and thats bad and the reason why your fish is stressed is because your giving him waay to many water changes and his fins are clamped because of the cold water so if you are aloud to get a heater then you get one but if not then you could try putting your fish in the warmest place in the house you could think of or you could try putting his tank next to a heating vent on the floor or you can get an empty water bottle clean the outside really well and take off the plastic and then put boiling or REALLY hot water in it and then put the bottle in your tank and it might help warm it up since your tank is only a 1 gallon. Also if you have an indoor mini greenhouse try putting your tank in there ;-) thats all I got for tips. BTW I subscribed to your chann luv it and thankyou for commenting hope this helped ;-) ♡
