It's not supposed to be used in the actual tank, but if your Betta is sick then you can look up aquarium salt treatment!

If you can find a small tiny ping pong ball they will play with it . Also some fish tank items they can hide and swim through . My Might Beta Nigel like the filtration exhaust pipe he swims against the stream swims around it and sleeps on it cause the vibration messages him to sleep . I had like a 1 gallon tank and it was way too small but once I got Nigel a 3.7 gallon and added few items for him . He plays with his ball and the exhaust all day long . If I set my finger in the water he will brush up against my finger . His way for saying hello to me . If I set my hand in the water and cup my hand he will sit in my hand . I love my fish .

happy aj The reason the fish plays with it is because it thinks it's gonna get food but it never does, it doesn't enjoy it, it's just teasing the fish. It's like your mom made you dinner and put it inside a glass box.

Peps don't do if have a aggressive fish good method for females and rly calm males like most of mine but if they are aggressive they could hurt themselves hitting the ball too hard jump out of the water but rly good idea for calm betas

Thats an adorable toy. I keep a ball in my tank anyway but I never thought to use one of those balls that I had lying about my house! I but smaller pellets in them so that when the betta hits the ball, a pellet comes out. I think of it as a Kong toy for fish :)

Actually, it works their brain. Same reason we give our dogs and cats puzzle toys. Any wild animal, particularly predators, are known to flourish when they have mental stimulation. I don't know if I completely like the mechanics of this one shown, but the concept is a great idea.

I think that tanks is a little bit to big :P (my opinion) Cause remember they evolved from mud holes in Japan xD and I would suggest don't put your hands in because they need the water to be clean or if dog hairs get in they'll choke on it D:

That is extremely inaccurate, bettas do well in 2.5+ gallons of water. This tank is a wonderful home for a betta.

Ferocis they lived in mud holes for a small period in time, they would most of the time be in rice paddies that stretched for miles...

Ferocis actually, your supposed to have a 5 gallon tank. There is almost no tank too big for Bettas. It's basically like this, just because you might have been raised in a small house it doesn't mean you dont want a bigger one.
