As always, a fantastic production. It's always exciting to see an unexpected addition and figure out where it came from. I've had similar experiences with cichlids in very large tanks. Recently, in my dedicated 50 gallon rasbora tank I had a couple of what turnedout to be rainbowfish !! The only explanation was that I threw in several old dried outspawning mops that I had used many months earlier in a dedicated rainbow tank !!Go figure. Again thank you for the wonderful videos.

Males and females can have egg spots, males typically have more than females

Was up DW man....Bro i been peeping your channel NONE STOP for the last week!!!I love your ponds!!..as soon as i buy my house i have to make one dont want to set up and tear down...But i wanted to get your option on what to start of my 55 galon Ciclid tank with??i know for sure i want a mated pare of convicts,But what eles should or shouldn't i put in with him??already theres a red tail shark thats bout 5 in and a crown male betta in it already BUT it has plenty of hiding spaces

Thanks! The convict pair will look awesome but they will claim a large amount of real estate, and the betta may be targeted for its fins. Good tank mate may be a salvini cichlids, bright yellow coloration maxing at about 6 inches and should be able to handle the aggression of a paired convict couple, fire mouths could work...generally cichlids that max at about 6 inches

The mbuna in my tank are constantly breeding. I just let nature take its course and I still get several new fry survivors every month. They are hybrids between different species. I give them away once they reach a size big enough to capture.... OR my oscar loves to eat them as well...

These three survivors show might make it on their own...once they reach about 1-1.5 inches they won't be seen as for...or at least that's how it happened with previous experiences!

Thank you...I believe that these have a good chance. Once they reach 1 inch most of the fish will leave them alone...my yellow lab and OB peacock already except them as tank mates and don't try to eat them!

Any time fry have "survived" in my tanks, I've usually ruined it by placing them in an aquarium breeder net and subsequently they escape and/or die. I get too involved by trying to "save" them, but they end up escaping or dying

I feed flake food which they are easily able to break and consume....in the video those small particles in the water are tiny leftover pieces that they've been surviving off of
