Betta can peacefully cohabitate with certain other species. Some scientists believe fish don't feel pain as we do, but only as a signal to avoid danger. Whether or not this theory will hold up in the long run, it's better than a cup.

Bettas don't need aquarium salt ever, maybe half or less than recommended amount for ich only to help heal but no need for salt eitherway

It would be the other way around more likely, however, betta can peacefully cohabitate with some species.

Hi does you Siamese Fighting Fish live in there because he needs more run and most "bettas" that have ever been kept like this very close to fish like this are not or are no longer aggressive you could give letting him out for a try if no net him quickly and put him up or even let him out when you can watch only and put him away when you are gone cause he lives in the same water conditions. Oh how r freshwater angels like care and temperment wise?

they kinda do... but they dont eat all the sh*t left by all other fish, so eventually u need to syphon the gravel / sand..

@driler123 Just because a betta fish is able to live in a jar-sized container doesn't mean they should and it doesn't mean it's healthy for them. I personally would not like to live my life swimming in circles around myself. Betta fish should be in, at MINIMUM, a 5 gallon tank.
