I got them at Petco, don't remember for the life of me what they are called but you can look in the live plant section. And the ones we got said no snail plants :)

did you baby mind the flow? I have that tank and I had to place a sponge over the part where It comes out because he didn't like it much, mine makes a small noise as it comes out as well you cannot hear it as much when the lid is on though.

You know I don't see any problems with mine, and he swims just fine on the surface of the tank. Thank you for sharing though! I will keep an eye on mine to make sure :)

yes it is, and the tube is covered by the sponge so that helps also :)

five gallon is only 1.5 gallons more. I just bought a five gallon for my beta and I'm hoping to have it up and running by the weekend. I'm pre-cycling the sponge in my 65 gallon's filter. Quickest way to cycle the tank. Beautiful betta :)
