That is not the measurements AT ALL, you need to educate yourself. All bettas need at least 2.5.

They DONT need filters, they only need a heater if the waters cold, and males need 2.5 and females need 1

I'm sorry but the tanks need a heater/filter. They are an OK size but bigger is always better. I'm not trying to hate, but I don't like seeing people take care of fish improperly. I think this is a good start but you should upgrade ASAP. The betta's will be much happier in a heated 3 gallon with a filter.

Just to update you sailor is now definately a girl. The egg sack is very noticeable and her fine have been growing outward not down

+Razzling dazzling betas just keep feeding sailor as you normally do if you are feeding pellets if not I recommend feeding pellets because most other foods cause bloat but if sailor remains the same after pellets then it is a she also the egg spot is a small white dot located where they poop (gross I know) but you can see what appears to be an egg spot around so I do believe you have a lovely "she"

+Razzling dazzling betas ok so most babies are usually not determined correctly as they are too young (that's why you might here about people adding a "female" to a sorority and having it kill all the other bettas because it was a male) but an egg spot is kind of hard to explain (for me at least) so I would look at pictures and I also notice sailor had a big belly like most females but yeah sorry that was kind of long

Yeah I'm not sure, petco labeled them as a boy but they had gotten a new shipment in, do you think they were to young to completely determine? And what does an egg spot look like
