Looks great as is. A nice fancy Dumbo ear Betta would look great. Some shrimp with it would be nice if you’re lucky a Betta doesn’t kill it

I have this tank and the light is actually pretty good. It grows my anubias great! Might not be good for hi-tech plants.

you know what, it's minimal in the sense that you don't have a whole different bunch of plants but honestly less is more you, it looks great without the extra plants. excellent #scapejob guys!

I have two of those tanks - love them. Have them planted with some driftwood and a male betta in each. I threw out the filter cartridges and replaced them with a sponge from a sponge filter cut in half - one half in each tank. And I slowed down the flow by drilling a couple holes in the uptake tube from the motor. Bettas and plants are doing very well in them.

Hi guys, love the spoder wood! May be include some baby-tears or something else with really small leafs to cover the ground. That would ad another dimension to the tank.

A 5 gallon is the minimum you can put a betta in without shortening it's life span, however I do agree about the fins, a veil tail would not be the worst thing in the tank though

i think the only issue with having a betta in a tank like this is the surface area. there is a longer swim from bottom to top to get air, but other than that, a 5 gallon would be fine as the recommended is only 2.5 gallons. also, i have spiderwood in my tank with a betta (it's a 20g long) and no issues with his fins.

Mrs. Wiggles Wiggles a 5gal is more than enough for a betta. However, I wouldn't put a half moon betta in with this particular scape because of its Uber long fins which would get shredded. Also, half moons are pretty crippled for movement ability so it might be a bit tall for one. But a regular finned betta or placket would probs be fine.

the spiderwood isn't good for the fins. No enough room for it to swim around. personally i think a betta deserves a 10 gallon tank with a heater and appropriate decorations.

just for a PDA careful with cleaning aquascaping in your sink that has a disposal. if a small rock or something hard gets in it then you turn on your disposal it can jam the rock on the side wall and burn out the motor or bust the side wall of the disposal. i've done this with my disposal sucks for sure

That's so good I felt envious. I would put a Betta in there with 2 guppies. I looked the tank up on Amazon UK but it is a ridiculous price at £179. Those lights are good I have 2 on my 110 litre (29 gal). Plants do well.

Try this for tank denizens: Shrimp, Pompom Crabs, and Japanese Rice Fish. Add in some Daphnia, Cyclops and Red Tailed Fairy Shrimp eggs as well.
