Nice setup. I keep reading that the pump/filter on this tank is way too strong for bettas. Did you make any modifications to it?

Okay, thanks. :) I'll be sure to go to my LFS to see which I like if they're in stock. I'm leaning towards the Fluval because of the glass, and I like the look of it better.

I was in the same position for weeks, the Fluval was actually mu first choice, but I found them both at different LFS's, and the Aqueon just felt right. I've had this tank up and running since 3/1/12 and I have yet to have a single issue. My Betta is happy, I added a snail for some cleanup, and I would highly recommend this setup.

May I ask what made you choose the Aqueon over the Fluval? I'm trying to decide between the two for a single Betta.
