When you depart from the dock, you will want to store your dock lines nearby so you can access them quickly. Captain Dave shows us one way to do this! First, coil the line to the right, or clockwise. Make nice long loops while coiling your line. As you coil, spin the line between your thumb and forefinger to remove the memory and allow the line to lay flat. After coiling your line, place the coil on the life line, with one half over the life line. Pull the loop through itself and tighten the coil down to secure the line.
