Good advise, but the problem we encounter over and over are boaters who are simply not paying attention - it's all about them and where they are going. Brain dead :-(

I will offer one more trick.....Aside from the other aids in navigation, charts, chart plotter, radar, knowledge, etc......GOOD BINOCULARS! Everyone should have a set at the helm.....

The little ones aren't as easy, but still have some shape. In tight quarters they're hard to see. No seagull poop either.
